Your Impact

As an Advisor, Material Planning at Newmont, you’ll help keep operations running smoothly by ensuring the right materials are available at the right time. Your expertise will support production, repairs, and maintenance by optimizing inventory levels, minimizing delays, and collaborating across supply chain teams.

As Part of Our Team, You Will

  • Prepare forecasts and material plans based on trends and known plans for repairs and routine maintenance.
  • Liaise with inventory procurement team to give sufficient advance notice based on supplier lead times to procure and receive goods and services when needed.
  • Monitor inbound orders to ensure inventory arrives on time and take appropriate action on delayed orders.
  • Assess the levels of materials to ensure optimal stock is maintained to ensure critical parts are available while also monitoring slow moving or newly obsolete inventory.
  • Supervise and provide inventory KPIs and Performance Management including parts availability.
  • Collaborate with maintenance planners and material coordinators to ensure that the team has a clear prioritization of requests
  • Provide reports and key performance metrics to support inventory and material management

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role

  • 5 years of experience in Material Planning, Maintenance Planning, and/or senior warehouse roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Certification in CPIM, CSCP, or similar (asset)
  • Experience with inventory control, material planning, or supply chain in mining or heavy industry
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and reporting tools
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of procurement, logistics, and safety requirements in mining operations

Your Work Environment

  • Location: Remote, with some travel to operational sites as needed
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, depending on operational needs
  • Setting: Office environment with occasional site visits; interaction with internal and external stakeholders

The expected salary range for this role is CAD $ 83,400-111,180. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
