EIPS is recruiting a temporary full-time Division 1 Numeracy Support teacher with our Support for Students (SFS) department.
EIPS Central Services building is located in Sherwood Park, at 683 Wye Road. Providing services for the division, the Central Administration is comprised of eight departments, in addition to the Board of Trustees. The departments include Education Executive, Communication Services, Facility Services, Student Transportation, Human Resources, Financial Services, Supports for Students, and Information Technologies.
SFS is looking for a 1.0 FTE teacher to work with at risk students in multiple EIPS schools in Fort Saskatchewan, Uncas, and Sherwood Park. The teacher will work directly with students, providing pull-out numeracy intervention support. The teacher will work consultants in co-planning as well as the development and delivery of lessons. This position will require travel, mileage will be compensated.
Successful applicants who are EIPS Continuous Teachers will be able to return to their current school/position for the 2026-27 school year.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education degree

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Experience teaching in Division 1 would be an asset

Effective organization and time management skills

Knowledge of strong instructional strategies and differentiation

Excellent verbal and written skills
-
Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction

Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice

Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals

Knowledge of numeracy intervention practices would be an asset
