The PCP PSD Field Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and operating a field service truck to handle day-to-day field and shop maintenance services. Performing preventive maintenance, overhaul and troubleshooting of natural gas engines, wellhead drives, surface transfer pumps, stroking units and compressors within the oil and gas industry. Roles And Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and on call mechanical maintenance services in both field and shop areas
- Assembly and commissioning of LNG engines, hydraulic skids, generators, drive heads and stroking unit packages
- Maintain and operate a field service truck
- Supervise apprentices and others as required
- Comply with all company quality, and Health and Safety work procedures
- Maintain and develop positive professional relationships with existing and potential customers
- Comply with PCP Product Line standards
- Maintain assigned equipment according to the pertinent maintenance program and compliant with the reliability centered maintenance strategy through adherence to the standard work processes
- Participate in the continuous improvement culture, initiatives and improvement plans to improve asset utilization and cost of service delivery (CoSD).
- Support continuous improvement efforts to improve the efficiency and productivity of Maintenance Technicians.
- Participate in failure investigations as assigned.
- Assist in implementation of CoSD projects, such as the planned repair and reuse of parts.
Qualifications And Experience
- LNG engine maintenance, assembly and troubleshooting experience
- LNG generator maintenance, assembly and troubleshooting experience
- Wellhead drive maintenance, assembly and troubleshooting experience
- Hydraulic stroking unit maintenance, assembly and troubleshooting experience
- Millwright, Automotive or Heavy-Duty mechanic journeyman certificate required
- Journeyman/ Red seal heavy duty mechanic
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar job.
