About the Role
The Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in leading a designated area of the practice and guiding a dedicated team to achieve exceptional client service. This position requires a strong leader who not only demonstrates superior management skills but also fosters a culture of collaboration and mentorship within the team. The Senior Manager will be responsible for driving business development and growth initiatives, ensuring that the practice thrives in a competitive landscape while delivering superior value to clients. This role is integral in shaping the future direction of the practice and in nurturing the next generation of professionals within Manning Elliott LLP.
Reports to: Partners and Principals
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates an ability to lead and manage multiple engagements.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining all aspects of client services.
- Manages assurance, accounting, and tax engagements with a portfolio matching experience and expertise.
- Manages aspects of production efficiency and client billing.
- Actively leads and develops work teams to successfully meet and exceed a varying range of client needs and expectations.
- Actively supports and participates in firm wide initiatives that could incorporate training, business development, process development.
- Participates in the firm’s Team Development and Performance Management Program
- Promotes and drives continuous improvement in the firm’s Quality System of Quality Management
Qualifications
- Accounting designation (CPA) with 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong technical knowledge and specialized industry expertise.
- Able to present technical materials to team members and clients in a strong, confident, and articulate manner.
- Maintains a thorough working knowledge and application of relevant professional standards, emerging laws and regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
- Proven success in developing strong client relationships and acting in an advisory role for clients.
- Experience in delivery of quality client service.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication in Mandarin and English.
- Considerable experience working in a coaching or mentoring capacity to other team members at engagement level, but also to achieve career objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to generate meaningful leads, make contacts and secure clients.
