Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Surveillance Supervisor or designate a Surveillance Operator is responsible for the day to day monitoring of daily activities of the Casino via close circuit television. Ensures that all mandates from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission and OLG are adhered to. Ensures adherence to the Companys policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadians learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitors, documents and reports violations, large cash/cash equivalents transactions, excluded and self-excluded guests and unau thorized access; reports violations to the Supervisor, Surveillance
- Maintains logs and records
- Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Builds strong working relationships with guests and team mem bers
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Pos t secondary education in criminology or a suitable combination of education and experience an asset
- Minimum 3 years of work experience; experience in security or surveillance an asset
- Food Safety or Responsible Liquor Service Cert ification Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
Work Environment Considerations
- Regular office environment, non-traditional work hours may be required in certain circumstances, some travel may be required
