About the role
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The overall responsibility of this position is to collaborate with dealers to improve their understanding of warranty policies and procedure so they can actively utilize their authorization levels to improve timeliness or repairs and contribute to improve customer experience. In addition, following a full audit by Hyundai Auto Canada, the Warranty Support Manager is responsible to ensure action plans are being executed and improvement areas identified in the audit are being addressed.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Support the dealer warranty administration practice to eliminate dealer service department process issues through investigation, corrective actions and reporting.

Responsible for ensuring the Company’s Service policies and procedures are implemented by the dealer body.

Analyze and pre-approve warranty repairs requiring PWA and cost reduction, including goodwill support/customer experience.

Respond to dealer warranty inquiries by Warranty hotlines, phone and email.

Assist Dealer’s in processes to improve Service Operations and Claim Submission (Straight Time/Added on Operations/Connected Repairs.

Claims adjudication in accordance with policy

Dealership spot audits/training & process chargebacks
-
Conduct meetings with Dealer Principals and Service Management team to review high warranty cost and serve as a consultant for dealer warranty cost control.

Inspect warranty defects i.e. paint defects.
-
Investigate dealer chargeback and non-payment disputes.

Forward dealer issues to head office.

Assist the dealer with warranty training and support

Backup for Field Technical Specialist.

Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
-
5 - 7 years of relevant experience in the same or similar positions. With automotive experience desirable
-
Completion of a secondary school diploma and college, e.g., diploma / certificate / trade license or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

Excellent MS Office skills.
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-
Strong organization skills.
-
Technical automobiles knowledge required.
-
Ability to work independently and travel on a regular basis.
-
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driver abstract
-
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
