About the role
Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the F&B Supervisor, this position is responsible to maintain and record daily sales on point-of-sale unit. Maintains a professional attitude and appearance to the customers. Provide attentive, cheerful, courteous and professional service to all customers, internal and external, striving to always exceed their expectations. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities

Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know who will personally take care of them.

Answer general questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services on the premise.

Enters guests’ bills into the POS
-
Counts out change and gives to the guests
-
Explains pricing to guests as requested for clarification
-
Maintains the cleanliness of the cashier stand and area
-
Maintains own cash float and counts cash float at end of shift
-
Performs opening and closing duties as required
-
Always be available to attend cash along with the ability to serve guests when required.

Ensures an adequate stock of napkins, cutlery, etc and replenishes when required
-
Ensures table availability by communicating with bussing staff
-
Assists with bussing duties during slower periods
-
Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
-
Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests,ownership and employees)

Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
Education and Qualification Requirements

High School Diploma / Post Secondary hospitality or hotel education an asset
-
Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication

Computer literacy in MS Office
-
POS experience and minimum 1 year cash handling
-
Excellent customer service skills
-
Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) knowledge is an asset
-
Wine and beverage knowledge an asset
-
Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
-
Ability to obtain NB Responsible Beverage Certification
-
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Must be 19 years of age or older
Work Environment Considerations
-
Fast paced with multiple priorities, deadlines and deliverables; extended period of standing, walking, bending and may lift up to 35 lbs.

The role requires a flexible schedule that adapts to business needs, and will have non-traditional work hours including holidays, evening, overnight or weekend shifts.
