Note: These positions require you to work from the physical work location at 615 James St S, Thunder Bay, a minimum of three days per week. Current hybrid work arrangements are subject to change.

About the job

As a member of this highly effective team, you will:

  • receive and reconcile invoices for various construction and maintenance programs.
  • provide information to staff on payment and contract administration policies and procedures.
  • monitor expenditures to ensure sufficient funds are available.
  • maintain operations office inventories of assets.
  • provide support to Maintenance Coordinators and Superintendents to ensure the maintenance inventory management procedures are followed
  • provide administrative support in day-to-day activities (e.g., arranging meetings)

What you bring to the team

Technical Knowledge

You have:

  • knowledge of administrative and financial processes and procedures
  • knowledge of financial systems to reconcile expenditures, and process payments
  • knowledge of contract administration procedures for payment verification

Administrative Skills

You have:

  • organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • research skills to gather data and information.
  • mathematical skills to verify invoices for accuracy.
  • computer skills including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and database.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

You can:

  • respond to requests from internal/external clients with tact and diplomacy.
  • prepare written responses for information and financial requests.
