Front-End Developer Position Summary
Overview
The position is for a Senior Front-End Developer who will work collaboratively with Business Analysts, Product Managers, Cloud Architects, and backend developers to deliver high-quality front-end code and software products, including Minimal Viable Products and Cloud-Native Web Applications.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate: Partner with UX/UI designers to translate mobile and responsive designs into functional code using React and Next.js.
- Code Development: Develop responsive web interfaces that work seamlessly across online and mobile devices.
- Maintain Consistency: Ensure design consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all projects.
- Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest UI/UX design trends and best practices.
- Quality Assurance: Support quality assurance and defect management processes, including various testing methods (Unit Test, Test Automation, AODA Compliance, etc.).
- Application Support: Provide critical application support involving incident investigation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Team Player: Work independently and as part of a team, contributing to Agile/Scrum methodology development processes.
Experience and Skill Requirements
- Technical Skills - 65%
- React, NextJS, REST APIs, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Cloud-Native application design, Agile, DevOps CI/CD.
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), hands-on experience with Git, SVN, Swagger-UI, Postman, OAuth/JWT.
- Experience with React libraries like Hook Form, React Query, Zustand.
- Nice to Have - 20%
- Responsive web front-end design, development, and testing.
- Experience with unit testing and test automation tools (NUnit, XUnit, MSTest, etc.).
- Regression testing and familiarity with web-based QA automation software such as Playwright.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline for application building and deployment.
- Agile Delivery Team Experience - 20%
- Scrum Agile development participation and experience in task planning, daily stand ups, iteration demos, and review meetings.
- Experience contributing as a Developer or Tester in a balanced team environment.
- Business Analysis - 10%
- Translating business requirements into software code/implementations.
- Soft Skills - 5%
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
