About the role
We know what it means to put the customer first—our business is built upon a tradition of exceptional, individualized customer service. Our employees experience the excitement and satisfaction that comes from working for a successful, expanding company where every team member makes a difference and where initiative and hard work are valued and rewarded. We are confident that if you choose to work at ROBINSON, you will be taking your first steps towards a challenging, profitable, and satisfying career.
We are on the lookout for a dependable, hands-on Receiving Team Lead to help keep our fast-paced warehouse running smoothly. In this role, you'll work side-by-side with your team — guiding the flow of inbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and keeping the receiving area clean, safe, and organized.
This isn’t about titles — it’s about keeping things moving and leading from the floor. You’ll be the go-to person for all things receiving: coordinating logistics, solving problems in real time, and making sure your team has what they need to succeed. If you lead by doing and communicate clearly, this could be the right role for you.
What you will do
- Lead the daily receiving workflow — assign tasks, track progress, and adjust priorities as needed
- Coordinate container schedules and manage inbound shipment logistics
- Inspect incoming goods for damage and file freight claims when necessary
- Communicate with the purchasing team about discrepancies (overages, shortages, damages)
- Use RF scanners and inventory systems to accurately receive and place products
- Train and onboard new team members on receiving processes and best practices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant receiving area
- Participate in cycle counts and support inventory restocking when needed
What you bring
- 3–5 years of experience in warehouse receiving or a similar role
- At least 1 year leading or coordinating team workflows
- A coaching mindset focused on safety, efficiency, and team cohesion
- Proficiency with RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems
- Forklift certification (or experience and willingness to certify)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A proactive mindset and keen attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift, move, and handle products throughout your shift
