ABOUT WILLIAMS LAKE FIRST NATION (WLFN)
The Williams Lake First Nation (WLFN), or the T’exelcemc (people of WLFN) have belonged to the Secwepemc (or Shuswap) Nation for over 6500 years. Today, the WLFN community includes a growing population of over 800 registered members who live on reserve in Sugar Cane, in nearby Williams Lake, BC, and across the globe.

POSITION
Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Youth Worker Mentee will be responsible for assisting the recreation department in assisting, organizing, and delivering a variety of recreational programs and activities for children, youth, and adults in the community of Williams Lake First Nation. The job will require you to ensure all aspects of the recreational program run smoothly and effectively. Youth Worker Mentee will be reporting to Recreation Supervisor.
Employment Type
Temporary, Full-Time (35 hours per week) from July 14, 2025, to February 18, 2026.
Probation Period
3 months from the date of hire.

Overtime Status
Non-exempt.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the recreation team to organize and implement activities for all age groups.

Participate in all activities to ensure engagement with all participants.

Assist with fundraising activities.

Assist with field trips and other organized activities.

Assist with setting up and take down of equipment.
