Baker Tilly Victoria is one of the largest locally owned and operated accounting firms in Victoria. We’re seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting functions, and ensuring smooth financial operations for our valued clients. Compensation package:

• Salary: $50,000 - $53,000

• Three weeks’ annual vacation

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Summarizing the client’s books and records
• Management of client’s payroll, payables, receivables, expenses and tax remittances
• Assisting clients with the betterment of record-keeping
• Vacation relief for other bookkeeping staff
• All other bookkeeping and administrative duties as required

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

• Minimum 3 years’ bookkeeping experience, dealing with multiple clients at once

• Self-starter, takes initiative

• Can work independently with little supervision. Ability to jump into bookkeeping files with minimal support.

• Great organization and communication skills

• Proficiency and/or experience with: Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word; Bookkeeping applications including Sage, QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online; and Adobe Acrobat Professional

• Can-do attitude

• Experience working in a team-based environment
