What you'll be doing
You’ll be joining the Architecture Risk, Governance and Operations (ARGO) Team as a Consultant, Process and Reporting. In this hybrid role, you will focus on executing and improving existing processes, while also supporting ARGO’s Reporting function across Technology Architecture. You will collaborate closely with various partners to facilitate process workflows that drive improvements, identify automation opportunities, and define end-to-end activities throughout process lifecycles. Your knowledge, skills, and experience will be key to delivering on internal processes and regulatory requirements tied to “business as usual” and project initiatives. You’ll need to take a hands-on approach, balancing competing priorities and adapting to change with flexibility.
At CIBC, we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you will succeed
- Process Expertise and Analysis: Act as a subject matter expert on Architecture Operations Delivery Team processes. Resolve problems by analyzing data, identifying inconsistencies, and preparing proposals to improve processes and address risks.
- Process Management: Support CIBC’s Technology Architecture Framework principles and ensure deliverables meet expectations through strong process management practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Use your insights to identify opportunities to enhance workflows, automate tasks, and drive efficiencies across process lifecycles.
- Collaboration and Engagement: Partner with stakeholders across teams to ensure process requirements are met, communicate progress effectively, and help drive alignment on priorities.
- Reporting and Insights: Support the ARGO team’s reporting function by preparing, maintaining, and analyzing key metrics and reports to drive transparency and inform decision-making.
Who you are
- You can demonstrate experience in process improvement and process automation, with a strong focus on operational processes. You analyze complex problems and collaborate with teams to develop effective solutions. You’re highly proficient in Microsoft tools, with advanced knowledge of Excel, and hands-on experience with Power Platform and Power Automate. You are skilled at creating impactful data visualizations with PowerBI, Tableau and Alteryx, and developing process documentation in Visio. These technical capabilities are essential to your success in the role. Skills in building automation workflows in Jira are nice to have.. You understand risk management fundamentals in technology architecture and processes, and leverage this to identify issues and recommend solutions. It is an asset if you have Experience in Financial Services.
- You can demonstrate experience in Operational Excellence. You conduct maturity assessments, use data-driven insights, and apply creative problem solving to highlight opportunities for improvement or address concerns.
- You have a degree/diploma in Engineering, Business, or a related field, with at least 2-4 years of experience in roles focused on process execution, improvement, and metrics reporting. Lean Six Sigma or related certifications an asset.
- You're digitally savvy. You seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies. You can easily adapt to new tools and trends. You keep a pulse on external trends — IT best practices, regulatory guidelines — to determine where process changes are required.
