Who are we looking for?
Reporting to the Strategy & Business Development Leader in Ontario, the Business Development Coordinator role is focused on supporting key strategies and the key client program for the Ontario region. This is a 1 year contract opportunity. The candidate will work with diverse teams to enhance GHD’s brand and contribute to the Ontario Region’s winning work strategies. They must be a collaborator who can self-impose deadlines, effectively manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and enjoys working with different personality styles and management levels, both in person and across offices.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Marketing Impact Assessment: Collect customer and market data that contributes to the review of marketing activities.
- Data Management: Help others get the most out of data management systems by providing support and advice.
- Customer Needs/Experience Research: Support customer and market research by performing customer and market research and analysis techniques.
- Recommendations: Provide information and clarification on existing procedures, processes, and precedents.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
- Document Preparation: Prepare moderately complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices, such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for reports.
- Personal Capability Building: Develop and maintain excellent process or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
- Insights and Reporting: Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports.
- Economic Research: Work with existing systems and protocols to carry out designated economic research activities, either to support others or to deliver prescribed outcomes for part of a research program.
- Customer Experience Mapping: Support in performing and implementing techniques, such as voice of the customer initiatives, journey mapping, and qualitative touchpoint analysis, to identify customer pain points, challenges, and hurdles.
- Information and Business Advice: Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures, referring the most complex issues to others.
- Customer Feedback Analysis: Carry out an extensive range of complex analyses of customer feedback data.
- Promoting Customer Focus: Assist with the development of internal communications and work collaboratively with colleagues to build strong external customer relationships and meet customer needs.
What you will bring to the team:
Education
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or science.
Experience
- General Experience: 0-3 years of experience; internship or co-op experience preferred.
