Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for a Zone Parts & Service manager (ZPSM) to support our network of 37 Prairie Zone Toyota Dealers. This is a full-time opportunity reporting to the Prairie Zone Manager. The selected candidate will oversee all aspects of the Toyota – Dealer relationship across the Prairies to meet or exceed TCI’s Parts & Service dealership operational objectives.
This will be fulfilled through overseeing a team of Area Parts & Service Managers (APSMs) in the field, and working with dealers to build positive relationships, business strategies and accountabilities. The successful candidate will collaborate with dealers, team, and supporting functions, to develop processes promoting customer retention and sustainable practices, while ensuring dealer participation and compliance to TCI’s programs and established dealer standards.

What You’ll be Doing:
- Work with APSMs and dealers to achieve targets relating to Parts Purchases, Accessories, Customer Repair Order (CRO) Volume, Service Efficiency, VIN Retention, Toyota Service Recommendation (TSR), Training Standards, Toyota Service Management (TSM) and Toyota Retention Support Program (TRSP) Marketing fund utilization
- Monitor, measure and evaluate the frequency and quality of APSM dealer meetings
- Collaborate with APSMs to identify Annual Parts & Service Manager conference locations, agendas and content
- Support key internal stakeholders (e.g. Customer Services, Service Retention, Parts Operations, Logistics, Accessory Dealer Marketing (ADM), Product Quality & Service Support (PQSS), Vehicle Safety and Compliance Liaison Office of Canada (VSCLOC), Dealer Standards and Sales Operations (DSSO), and Toyota University) pertaining to Parts & Service
- Build and maintain relationships with dealers by visiting dealers regularly to help business needs and opportunities and responding to dealer inquiries in a timely manner
- Partner with Toyota Dealer Association (TDA) on Parts & Service Marketing activities to ensure brand alignment with business needs & corporate standards, utilizing all available budget
- Prepare and deliver content relating to Annual Review strategy meetings with dealers
- Develop and deploy annual parts and services objectives and targets with dealers, aligning with TCI’s goals
- Develop strategies and initiatives to improve business volumes and overall profitability through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analytics
- Manage priorities with key internal stakeholders to support the team of APSMs
- Create a weekly agenda within department to host an internal meeting and include business reviews
- Take care of travel budget and schedule to help allocation of resources according to business needs

People Management
- Provide timely guidance, coaching, feedback, and accountability for direct reports to drive learning & development and successful project completion
- Influence team members to foster collaboration, awareness, support & Kaizen (continuous improvement) resulting in work efficiencies
- Empower the team to take initiative and proactively influence the business
What You’ll Bring:
- University degree or college diploma in Business or a related discipline
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably within the automotive industry (e.g. Aftersales/Parts & Service)
- Experience with dealerships, field operations, retail and manufacturing is an asset
- Prior management experience is an asset
- Strong leader with experience in coaching and mentoring others
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of how to handle ambiguous scenarios while maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders
- Excellent negotiation techniques to balance both the needs of dealers and TCI corporate objectives
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Creative thinking and problem solving; ability to generate new, innovative ideas
- Self-starter with strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to develop and implement a strategic business plan
- Experience with financial and performance reporting is an asset
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel frequently
