OFFICE COORDINATOR

We are looking to hire 1-2full-time, contract Office Coordinator positions from June to September based out of our head office in Burlington, Ontario. There may be an opportunity to convert to a permanent position or extend the contract. Reporting to the Director of Operations, Permit Manager or Human Resources Manager, the Office Coordinator will be part of a team that is responsible for providing office support for any of the following aspects of camp operations:

· Customer Service

· Volunteers

· Donations/Subsidies

· Inventory preparation

· Camp operations

· Marketing

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • All Office Coordinators will be responsible for providing effective customer service support for telephone and email inquiries relating to camp registration and operations
  • Office Coordinators will be allocated to specific office operations but should be willing and able to assist in any administrative support area
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, guardians, camp staff, co-workers, and camp stakeholders
  • Support all onsite camp staff inquiries
  • Implement and promote all company policies, procedures, culture, vision, values and goals

Qualifications & Skills:

  • The ideal candidate will possess previous administration and/or leadership experience and will also be pursuing or has completed post-secondary education related to administration or office management
  • Strong and effective communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead or collaborate with staff
  • Relationship building skills, including team building, conflict resolution & negotiation
  • Efficient computer skills
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to work flexible hours (Between 7am and 8pm)

WHY JOIN US:

We are a small office in Burlington with a team of approximately 10-12 office staff comprised of full time and seasonal staff. We have an evolving workload that means no two days are the same! During our pre-season from March through May, the focus will be on marketing and advertising our camp program, securing facility permits, recruiting summer camp staff, and providing customer service support for camp inquiries. During the summer months of June to August, the focus is on supporting onsite camp staff, answering customer inquiries, and recruiting for last-minute onsite staff replacements. Work will be conducted at the Burlington head office.
