Position Summary The Change Management Coordinator reports to the Director, Recurring and Refurbishment Programs and will liaise with internal departments in the areas of Manufacturing, Sales, operations, Engineering, Technical Services, Legal, HR, Finance and at times external consultants.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Be responsible for managing the intake of all recurring and refurbishing projects, product change and project change requests across the organization.
- Triage new requests, ensure adequate request information and their timely processing to appropriate areas in the organization.
- Establish change management governance, support functional impact assessments, contribute to the business case development, and coordinate the harmonization of engineering and program change requests with other functional areas for our Dash 8, CL-215, CL-215T2 , CL-415 Firefighters and Dash 1-7 Series.
- Support PMO Group in ensuring that accurate Customer Aircraft configuration detailed documentation is completed in a timely manner.
- Review change proposals and requirements and advise Engineering and Programs on feasibility.
- Make recommendations and harmonize approved changes into DHC businesses considering schedule and capacity constraints.
- Follow and ensure change milestones are achieved within the committed schedules and budget.
- Assess and report on risk and contingency within the harmonized change plans.
- Develop the process and approval workflows for change management.
- Prepare and lead weekly Change Management reviews.
- Prepare Executive level presentation materials clearly articulating change impacts.
- Understand contract obligations as they relate to project changes, schedule and project milestones
Education And Experience
- 5+ years of Change Management experience on aviation manufacturing projects, including reviewing potential changes and harmonization of change incorporation across projects.
- Direct exposure to the aerospace industry is required.
- A combination of education and experience in aerospace and/or manufacturing will be considered.
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience (e.g.: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Assembler, etc.).
- Certifications: PMP, EIT P.Eng, CCDA and/or Certified Engineering Technologist are assets.
Skills
- Advanced user knowledge of MS Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Advanced knowledge in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL and Power B I.
- Ability to manage and act on multiple projects and priorities at one time.
- Ability to present complex information to Executive levels.
- Strong customer focus and great ability to work as a team player.
- Ability to read and understand engineering and manufacturing project documents to assess change impacts.
Work Location & Conditions of Employment
- Candidate will be required to work onsite in Calgary, Alberta.
- Candidate may be required to travel at short notice.
- Schedule flexibility may be required.
