Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dental practice at Smile Plus Dentistry. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with dental software is preferred, along with knowledge in pediatrics and orthodontics.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Certified Dental Assistant is preferred; currently registered with the BCCOHP
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
• Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is a plus.
• Proficiency in using dental software will be advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with patients of all ages.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
