About the role
Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Triangle Partnerships, the Senior Consultant is a high-performing and results-oriented contributor who will support CTC’s expanding roster of Triangle Loyalty Partners. As a key project in Canadian Tire’s True North transformation initiative, Triangle Partnerships serve to engage and grow Triangle Rewards membership base to deliver against CTC’s customer and financial objectives. The Senior Consultant is responsible for working on the strategy and implementation of Triangle Partnerships end-to-end from business development/contracting all the way through to execution and sustainment.
The successful candidate for this position will exhibit strong business acumen and is comfortable working on fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous projects.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and own economic/financial models that are used to understand the impact of different partnerships on the organization.
- Be a part of business development/partnership conversations with external parties from initial contact all the way to partnership execution.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to help drive various partnership initiatives forward.
- Support the preparation of presentation materials used to facilitate executive decision-making, partnership discussions/negotiations and project management.
- Analyze customer/member data to derive meaningful insights that support customer engagement initiatives through partnerships.
- Collaborate on the development and usage of Partnership focused reporting tools, scorecards and dashboards.
- Support the development of new processes and ways of working across the portfolio of Partners.
- Build an expertise in loyalty and be a part of the ongoing evolution of Triangle Rewards.
- Perform research, aggregate information and gather insights by using a range of resources, including public information, internal reports and materials, and discussions with business stakeholders across the organization.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration or related degree is preferred
- Minimum of 2-4 years experience producing deliverables for senior decision makers and/or external clients (e.g., consulting, corporate development, investment banking).
- Mix of financial acumen, strategy and business casing experience.
- Operational, loyalty or retail experience is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in presentation development and financial analysis.
- High proficiency and efficiency in using PowerPoint (charting & formatting) and Excel (pivot tables, navigating/building complex financial models).
- Strong judgement and communication skills in dealing with a senior audience, external partners and sensitive projects.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines across multiple projects.
- A genuine curiosity towards retail and the Canadian Tire Corporation ecosystem.
