About the role

Nadège Patisserie is a boutique bakery and retailer that combines the art of French pastry with fresh, modern panache.

What You’ll Do:

● Lead Sales Growth: Drive sales volume while ensuring a consistently positive customer experience.

● Manage the Team: Supervise and direct a team of sales associates (team size varies by season). Train and develop the team in sales, customer service, and product knowledge.

● Front of House Management: Spend the majority of your time managing Front of House operations, with about 6 hours per week dedicated to office work and the remainder of the time on the floor.

● Operational Duties: Perform opening and closing duties, ensuring the store is

well-stocked, organized, and meets quality standards.

● Maintain Store Standards: Keep the store clean and organized, complete all checklists, and address any health and safety hazards promptly.

● Emergency Response: Handle any emergencies during shifts, ensuring the safety and well-being of customers and staff.

● Financial Management: Assist in managing store profitability by monitoring labor costs, controlling expenses, and participating in recruitment.

● Promotions & Community Engagement: Help plan and execute sales promotions and maintain a positive public image.

● Schedule Creation: Develop weekly schedules according to labor guidelines and consider fluctuations in sales due to holidays or local events.

● Coffee: Operate coffee-making equipment such as espresso machines and grinders.

What You’ll Need:

● Certifications: Current Food Handler’s Certificate and First Aid Training (or willingness to obtain within the first weeks of employment).

● Experience: Supervisory or managerial experience, preferably in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry (training will be provided).

● Leadership Skills: Ability to train, lead, and motivate teams effectively.

● Customer Service: Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities (both written and verbal).

● Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, solve problems, and pay attention to detail.

● Professionalism: A professional appearance and attitude, contributing to a positive team atmosphere and adherence to company policies.

● Physical Requirements: Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods during each shift.

● Availability: Must be available to work days, evenings, and weekends.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
