The beautiful oceanfront city of Campbell River has an opportunity for two General Internists to join the Department of Medicine at the Campbell River Hospital.

True full service community general internal medicine. Candidate would be joining a group of 8 supportive general internists. We provide consultant GIM care to busy community hospital with 105 beds. MRP for 6 bed ICU only. Call responsibility shared equally within the group. Equal share in cardiodiagnositics - including ECG and holter reading, access to stress testing. Interest in liver disease with participation in hospital based multidisciplinary clinic. Outpatient GIM clinic is encouraged.

The successful candidates will hold FRCPC in General Internal Medicine and full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC. An interest in Rheumatology, Endocrinology or Gastroenterology would be considered an asset.

The successful candidate will share in a roughly 1:5 to 1:7 Hospital based call schedule.

There is an opportunity for the successful candidate to join an existing clinic in the community, if desired.

Benefits:

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidy agreement including:

Fee Premium - 6.09%

• Annual Flat Fee - $9,437.76

• Recruitment Incentive - $10,000

• Relocation Costs - up to a maximum of $15,000

• Rural CME: Years 3 & 4 - $3000/annum; after 4 years: $6000/annum
