Why You?
We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative self-starter to join our organization as Business Performance Specialist (Grants Focus)! In support of the Town of Innisfil’s Strategic Plan 2030, you will take a “Community First” approach to leading the Town’s grant funding program and leading various business performance initiatives to evolve our organization, and will be responsible for:
- Identifying and researching grant funding opportunities and working collaboratively with departmental contacts to facilitate project selection and lead the development, preparation and submission of grant applications.
- Coordinating all award and post-award activities to ensure compliance with all award requirements including preparing or reviewing and editing required reports.
- Developing and implementing process, policy and strategy to support the grant funding program and maintaining accurate tracking and status reporting of all active grants for departments and senior management. Collaborating with management and staff throughout the organization in the execution of Business Analysis, Project Management and Performance Measurement and Reporting functions.
- Acting as a primary project liaison for the organization who leads, coaches and motivates project teams in the development of project plans and the timely completion of project deliverables.
- Conducting internal reviews of business processes and procedures through site visits, observations, interviews and gathering information from staff to fully document current mode of operation.
Job Requirements
The preferred candidate holds:

University degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field. A Masters in Business Administration or equivalent would be an asset.

Five (5) to seven (7) years of demonstrated experience in a relevant area, such as strategic and business planning, performance measurement, innovation and disruption, quality assurance/process improvement, and/or culture and change management, including five (5) years of demonstrated experience researching and applying to grant opportunities for municipalities or broader public service organizations.

Business process improvement certification, project management certification, internal audit, lean operations, and/or innovation training, experience and knowledge would be considered assets.

A valid Class “G” driver’s license and reliable vehicle to use on corporate business and availability to attend evening meetings or other events, if requested.
