THE TEAM
The mission of the Financial Reporting and Accounting departments is to report financial information accurately and on time while ensuring compliance and to account for every financial transaction in the general ledger accurately and on time to enable informed decision making.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Aritzia is growing and our Financial Reporting and Accounting teams are growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for providing business leaders and external partners with accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting, as well as leading the organization’s financial accounting. As the Sr. Manager / Director, Financial Reporting & Accounting, you will ensure the quality and accuracy of all regulatory and external financial reporting, ensure the success of financial audits, and manage all financial data, record keeping, and general ledger reporting. THE ROLE
As the Sr. Manager / Director, Financial Reporting & Accounting, you will:

Resolve complex accounting issues and ensure Aritzia’s financial statements comply with IFRS accounting standards

Process complex financial transactions accurately and on time, specifically, but not limited to:
- IFRS 16 accounting
- IAS 16 & IAS 38 accounting

Proactively manage the assessment and implementation of new accounting standards while developing appropriate accounting policies

Proactively manage the analysis of accounting implications of material contracts and agreements working collaboratively with business support partners

Meet regulatory reporting requirements while minimizing Aritzia’s risk exposure

Provide analysis and reporting to executive management and Board

Govern the financial data that builds our financial reporting

Process financial transactions accurately and on time

Ensure compliance in accordance with accounting policies
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The Sr. Manager / Director, Financial Reporting & Accounting, has:
- Proven skills, education and/or experience in Financial Reporting & Accounting
- CPA designation
- A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
- The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners
- A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business
THE COMPENSATION
The typical hiring range for this position is $125,000–$175,000 CAD per year. The final agreed-upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additionally, this position may be eligible for a bonus.
