General Radiologist/ Nuclear Medicine (100-2363)
The Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) Department of Medical Imaging in Victoria is seeking a General Radiologist with Nuclear Medicine specialty.
Opportunity
Opportunity to practice both Nuclear Medicine and Radiology, including, PET/CT, US, CT, MRI, General Radiology and other areas of interest.
Preference will be given to candidates holding either subspecialty training, or significant clinical experience. We will consider a variety of specialty interests/training. Experience with breast imaging, including screening, would be an asset. The work includes all facets of Medical Imaging and applicants must be comfortable with minor interventional procedures.
The position includes participation in a full call schedule giving 24 hour services. And participation in resident teaching through the UBC Department of Radiology, and medical student teaching through the UBC Island Medical Program.
The group provides all of the imaging services from general to tertiary level to the south Vancouver Island portion of the Island Health including the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria General Hospital, Lady Minto Hospital, and an outpatient Ultrasound clinic.
Eligible candidates must hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in both Radiology and Nuclear Medicine and be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.
