Finance Technician – Accounts Payable – Corporate Accounting (12-Month Contract)
We are looking for a Senior Technician to join our Corporate Accounting team for a 12-month contract, with the possibility of a 3-month extension. This role plays a key part in managing accounts payable and expense processing, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting tax filings and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices and employee expense claims.
- Prepare and enter journal vouchers; reconcile accounts and payroll-related items.
- Support tax filings by preparing reports and confirming payments.
- Assist with month-end close and financial reporting.
- Maintain and document accounting procedures.
- Provide support to other team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting practices and Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
- Experience with tax filings, financial reporting, and accounting software (e.g., MS Dynamics NAV) is an asset.
Work Arrangement:
Preference for candidates able to work onsite in Victoria 4 days a week. Hybrid or remote options may be considered for those based in Victoria or Vancouver.
