The Team
As part of the Global Risk Technology team, the business analyst is responsible for the management and co-ordination of both IT projects and run the bank initiatives to serve and support Global Risk Management - Counterparty Risk department (GRM-CCR) and the Global Banking and Market (GBM).
The Role
The Business Analyst Specialist ensures that the business needs and outcomes of the IT projects and initiatives are delivered within scope, time and budget.
The Business Analyst is expected to have extensive knowledge in the Capital Market domain, specifically in Market and Counterparty Credit risk, understanding of modern technology, project management, and software development life cycle methodologies.
The Business Analyst must have excellent skills in communication, relationship and general business management.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Lead projects and run the bank initiatives including business case preparation, development, testing, release and post release of IT initiatives.
- Formally maintain the management documents to lead the projects and initiatives: Cost, timelines, scope, governance, communication plan, testing plan.
- Work with Business stakeholder (GRM and GBM) and the IT managers to establish the Yearly roadmap of technology deliveries. Update the roadmap throughout the year with changes in priorities and the evolving capacity of the technology team.
- Understand, analyze and respond to the internal and external audit and regulatory requests.
- Work with the business stakeholders (GRM, GBM, Middle Office, Back Office Downstreams) and the technology groups to coordinate the projects and run the bank activities from inception to delivery
- Communicate and reach decisions during the different project meetings: Technology roadmap review, Desk prioritization meetings, Steering Committee.
- Manage project participants and relationships ensuring project teams are cohesive and operating to common objectives and priorities.
- Hold meetings and work sessions as necessary to ensure that project management and run the bank initiatives are met i.e. scrum meetings, project planning, risk management, issue management, status meetings
- Maintain the momentum of the Projects and the technology roadmap against background of changing and occasionally conflicting priorities.
- Be a servant leader to the IT Team by solving the outside issues in order to let the project team focus on the delivery of the business value.
- Ongoing communication of project and initiative status, completing the monthly Status Reports and escalating issues to the Operations Sponsor, the Director and VP as required.
- Ensure the documentation and archiving of project activities, deliverables, tools and findings and for use in future projects
- Operates independently day to day with direction received only at the most conceptual or abstract level.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Proven experience in technology project management (5years minimum), including infrastructure projects, Development of new applications, streamlining of front to end processes…etc
- Proven experience with delivering projects to Risk departments and/or Capital market clients, specifically Trading desks (5 years minimum). Experience in Market or counterparty Credit Risk Management will be considered a plus
- Very organized and methodical. Highly qualified in IT project management
- Experience with answering internal and external audit and regulatory requests
- Excellent communication skills with Risk and Front office traders, and technology experts
- Ability to create a positive teamwork mindset in a large technology team of 40+ professionals
- Experience & skilled with project delivery tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, etc.
- Ability & confidence to produce presentation and workflow views for Senior Management reporting via tools like MS, Powerpoint and Visio
- Thorough understanding of Change and resource Management
Nice to have skills:
- Risk certification, CFA , or capital market education
- PMP designation, Agile Methodology, ITIL, Formal Project Management Education
- Experience with People management in an IT organization will be a plus
