🏢 Department: Consumer goods
🕘 Schedule: Monday to Friday, flex-hours
💰 Salary: $110,000-$140,000/year (based on experience)

A dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Controller with over 5 years of experience in financial management, full-cycle accounting, and international import operations. Recognized for a strong ability to streamline financial processes, ensure compliance, and manage cross-border activities efficiently. Proven leader with a strategic mindset—driving cost-saving initiatives, leading teams, and delivering impactful financial insights to support business growth.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
- Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting , and financial reporting
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets and cash flow forecasts
- Present monthly consolidated financial statements to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Oversee full-cycle accounting: AP/AR, GL, bank reconciliations, sales tax, payroll , and source deductions
- Prepare year-end audit files and liaise with auditors for smooth audit completion
- Manage foreign exchange contracts and multi-currency transactions
- Oversee import operations , ensuring customs compliance and logistics efficiency
- Review import/export entries and manage duty drawback claims
- Develop and enforce robust internal controls to ensure financial integrity
- Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations
- Oversee and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Manage investment portfolio entries and reconciliations
✅ Key Competencies & Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- 5+ years of experience in financial management or similar roles
- CPA designation (major asset)
- Fluent in English and French , written and spoken
- Financial reporting & analysis
- Budgeting & forecasting
- Import/export compliance
- Customs regulations
- ERP systems
