We are looking for a Supervisor, Product Handling to provide support and leadership to our diverse team of operational personnel. You will be responsible for the day activities of the Product Handling Team, supporting the Loadout to achieve our goals in safety, production and cost. This role is a great opportunity to effectively execute our daily / weekly planned targets from an operational perspective. This position is a 7 on 7 off working schedule.

Reporting to the Superintendent Product Handling, you will:

  • Actively participate in IOC’s safety program and role model appropriate behaviors (CRM auditing, group safety talks, planned general inspections, accident / investigation, etc.)
  • Participate in daily CRM focused meetings and identify critical risks to personnel. In this role you will be responsible as a “driving force” for CRM implementation in the Operational Team
  • Ensure Team members work safely and follow all safety regulations and standards and provide feedback when necessary
  • Participate in daily and weekly Production Management Cycle activities to develop and execute our operational plans
  • Provide area expertise and support to ongoing operational and improvement projects in the area
  • Work closely with area Operations and Asset Management Teams to ensure that both production and reliability priorities are achieved

What you’ll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • College level diploma or equivalent experience is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an operational context
  • Must have a strong, demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Must demonstrate a style of participative management in problem solving
  • Must possess good communication skills - written and oral, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to effectively interface with others
  • Computer literacy in MS Office applications

We are a leading North American producer and exporter of premium iron ore pellets and high-grade concentrate with average iron grades greater than 66%.
