Shift Hours: Monday to Friday; 8:00am - 4:30pm

SUMMARY

The Wellness Administrator is responsible for the coordination and administration of wellness and benefits programs for employees and owner-operators at Erb Transport Limited. This includes managing group benefit plans, supporting health-related initiatives, and administering financial wellness programs such as Erb’s Employee Savings Program (RRSP, TFSA, NREG). The role plays a key part in promoting a culture of health, well-being, and employee support across the organization.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Coordinate, administer, and oversee benefits and wellness-related activities.

  2. Provide timely, accurate responses to benefits and wellness-related inquiries.

  3. Act as a liaison between employees and insurers to resolve claims and coverage issues.

  4. Coordinate billing of benefit coverage for owner-operators.

  5. Process benefit enrolments, changes, and terminations.

  6. Reconcile premium deductions with monthly insurer billings.

  7. Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee information.

  8. Promote benefits and wellness programs through education and awareness initiatives.

  9. Invoice employees for premiums during leaves of absence, ensuring accurate documentation.

  10. Maintain up-to-date and accurate wellness and benefits records.

  11. Update employee records in Dayforce related to leaves of absence, return-to-work dates, and benefit changes.

  12. Ensure timely communication of leave status and benefit eligibility changes to internal stakeholders.

  13. Perform additional wellness-related administrative duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in wellness program administration and group benefits is required.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in an HCM, Microsoft Suite and Outlook.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and communication.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates initiative and works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal stakeholders and external providers.
  • Professionalism, discretion, and tact in all employee interactions.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Experience in the transportation industry is considered an asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Full-time position (40 hours per week).
  • Standard schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Requires manual dexterity for computer use and data entry.
  • Involves extended periods of sitting at a workstation.
