About the role

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with a strong background in Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) and regulatory liquidity reporting . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with 2052a reports and OSFI Liquidity Returns , and will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, improving data quality, and optimizing liquidity reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liquidity Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and validate 2052a and OSFI Liquidity Returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Data Analysis: Perform deep-dive analyses into liquidity data to detect discrepancies, validate integrity, and identify trends.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with Finance, Risk, and IT teams to ensure alignment of data and reporting processes with regulatory standards.
  • Process & System Enhancement: Support automation and system enhancement initiatives to streamline liquidity reporting and controls.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor evolving regulatory changes related to liquidity risk and ensure proactive compliance.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for reporting processes, methodologies, controls, and issue logs.
  • Issue Management: Investigate and resolve data issues, working cross-functionally to implement permanent solutions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. CFA, CPA, or FRM certification is a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years in liquidity risk reporting, with deep exposure to 2052a and OSFI regulatory frameworks .

Technical Skills:

  • Strong MS Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, macros)
  • Experience with SQL or other query tools for data analysis
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Exposure to liquidity risk systems and regulatory reporting platforms is an asset

Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of liquidity risk concepts and regulatory expectations
  • Familiarity with TBSM processes and reporting frameworks

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build strong stakeholder relationships
