Learning Commons Facilitator - Temporary - Part-time
About the role
Foothills School Division is seeking a part-time Learning Commons Facilitator for Longview School. This role is 0.3 FTE working 9 hours per week following the school calendar. Part-time hours will be scheduled according to programming and student needs.
The successful candidate will be a motivated, self-starting individual responsible for overseeing operation of the School Library. As a member of a school based-team, this role will act as a resource to teachers and students in obtaining information and materials. The ability to establish a good working relationship with parents and community is critical. The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of technology, have excellent communication skills and be highly organized. Experience in an automated environment and in the library field is preferred. Knowledge or experience with trauma informed practices and working with neuro-diverse students is an asset.
The salary range for this position will depend on the successful applicant's qualifications and experience:
Learning Commons Facilitator 1- Experience and/or training with library procedures, cataloguing and filing systems
Learning Commons Facilitator 2 - Library and Information Technology Diploma
Learning Commons Facilitator 3 - Library Science Degree
