Job Title: Post-Secondary Territory Manager

Job Type: Permanent Full-Time

Job Summary:

The Post-Secondary Territory Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding our photography business in the post-secondary education sector within a designated geographical territory. This individual will drive and manage photography sittings, client service, and sales growth. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of post-secondary and other photography sessions based on the company’s direction (e.g., studio/onsite photography).

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Account Management:

  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan to meet or exceed sales goals within your geographical post-secondary photography market.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on universities and colleges.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, administrators, faculty, and purchasing departments to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Lead product and service demonstrations, webinars, and presentations to potential customers.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Monitor trends and competitor activities within the post-secondary market to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Analyze customer needs and feedback to provide insights to the product development team for improvement or new offerings.
  • Track and report on territory performance, sales progress, and market penetration.

Collaborative Efforts:

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment of photography products, sales strategies, and client needs.

Client Retention and Support:

  • Provide ongoing support to existing clients to ensure satisfaction, encourage product adoption, and drive repeat business.
  • Resolve customer issues or concerns promptly and efficiently to ensure positive outcomes.

Client Relations and Collaboration:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external clients seeking photography services or studio access.
  • Collaborate with faculty, students, and staff to understand project needs and deliver photographic solutions.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure that all photography services are delivered on time and within company guidelines.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems, including sales activities and client interactions.
  • Submit regular reports on sales progress, customer feedback, and market intelligence.
  • Maintain accurate records of studio usage, bookings, and photo session details.
  • Manage the studio's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Ensure that systems data is accurate and up to date.

Photography Services:

  • Support as a photographer if required, capturing high-quality images for a variety of projects, including academic events, student and staff portraits, and promotional materials.
  • Work with faculties and students to capture professional images that align with company products and workflow.
  • Manage photo sessions, directing subjects, setting up lighting, and composing shots to achieve desired results.
  • Ensure all images are properly cataloged and stored within company practices.
  • May be required to fulfill the responsibilities of a photographer in support of team operations or during peak periods.

Studio Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the post-secondary studio, including scheduling, equipment management, and maintaining a safe and efficient environment.
  • Ensure the studio is fully equipped with necessary photography equipment and maintain inventory of all studio materials.
  • Manage studio bookings, coordinating with faculty, staff, students, and external clients to schedule photo sessions and events.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot studio equipment and arrange for repairs or upgrades as needed.
  • Develop and implement best practices for studio workflows and ensure the facility is kept clean, organized, and ready for use at all times.
  • Schedule photographers throughout the year to meet the demands of your customer photography schedules.

Photographer Team Management:

  • May be required to recruit, hire, and mentor a small team of locally based photographers, ensuring they uphold the Edge Imaging brand through professionalism and consistent photography quality.
  • Ensure photographers receive the proper company-provided training across core photography programs throughout the year to maintain standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all HR-related documentation in accordance with Edge Imaging’s policies and procedures, including but not limited to Vulnerable Sector Screenings (VSSs) and HR status change forms

Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support for staff on studio equipment, photography techniques, and software applications.
  • Support in the development of materials and guides to assist the company in understanding best practices.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Fast-paced office environment
  • Ability to sit for extensive periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs & ability to push up to 80 lbs using appropriate equipment provided
  • Travel required throughout specified region
  • School environment from Kindergarten to College/University
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend repetitively for extensive periods of time

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, with a focus on the education, post-secondary, or studio sectors.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building strong customer relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the educational market and/or studio-related products, technology, and trends.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel within the designated territory as needed.
