Event Supervisor - Prince George (Part Time and Casual)
Position: Event Supervisor
Hours: Mostly evening and weekends, as needed
Pay Rate: $22-$25/hour
Site Description: Prince George is a vibrant city in British Columbia, Canada, known for its rich natural resources, industrial heritage, and strategic location at the confluence of the Fraser and Nechako rivers. Situated at the crossroads of Highways 97 and 16, it serves as the largest city in Northern British Columbia and a key transportation hub.
Job Description:
Event Supervisors will provide uniformed security supervision for all contract guards working at various High Profile Event Location(s) in Prince George. Event Supervisor will support the Team Lead and Security Services management with various duties and assignments. Event Supervisors may also conduct proactive patrols and respond to incidents at the events.
Major Responsibilities Includes;
- Oversee the smooth execution of events at the venue
- Ensure safety, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with the Site Manager to coordinate staff, Address issues as they arise, serve as a key point of contact between event organizers and security teams.
- Monitor crowd behavior and identify safety concerns
- Respond to incidents and emergencies
- Lead pre-event briefings to communicate staff responsibilities and even-specific protocols clearly.
Job Requirements
- Minimum One (1) year Security Guard experience would be an asset.
- Minimum One year of Supervisor experience is preferred
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Customer Service Skills
- Must possess a valid advanced security license (AST) and have or willing to obtain a First Attendant Level 2 certificate. (OFA2)
- Physical Demands; excessive walking, standing, exposed to all weather conditions and extreme temperatures
- Utilize two-way radio and computer applications
- Excellent verbal and written English communications skills required.
- Are authorized to work in Canada
