THE ROLE
Under the direction of the Operations Manager- Soldier On, the Regional Coordinator –
Soldier On develops, plans, manages and leads all levels of Soldier On events in
accordance with (IAW) established procedures, and recommend changes when and
where needed, manages post-event requirement for regional events, including but not
limited to surveys, claims processing and, after actions report IAW established
procedures. They oversee event delivery on the ground and regularly interact with
Soldier On members and the wider ill and injured CAF community to ensure meaningful, inclusive, and well-executed experiences IAW Soldier On Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will create partnerships with service delivery stakeholders on a regional basis and communicate issues and concerns to manager/supervisor, develops and reviews drafts of various letters, documents, minutes, memoranda, briefing notes, budget submissions, after action reports and letters of appreciation. The Regional Coordinator – Soldier On works with other divisions of the Organization as well as departments of DND, such as the CAF Transition Unit (TU), to ensure seamless program delivery consistent with Soldier On’s mandate, identifying any existing gaps and recommending solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
College diploma or certificate in sports and recreation administration or a related field AND several years of experience in financial administration or a related field
A valid driver’s license (BC)
Experience
In promotion and marketing
In budget management
In project management
In conducting research and analyzing information
In preparing and conducting presentations
In personnel administration
Competencies

OTHER INFORMATION
This is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office in Esquimalt and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.
START DATE
The anticipated term of this position is 2 September 2025 to 8 May 2026.
