Job Posting Physical Education Teacher ( 1.0 FTE Temporary ) Swift Current Comprehensive High School Competition # 3 810 The Chinook School Division requires a full time (1.0 FTE) temporary teacher at Swift Current Comprehensive High School beginning August 26, 2025 through January 30, 2026 . Teaching assignment includes Physical Education 9, Wellness 10 and Wildlife and Habitat 10. SCCHS is a Grade 9-12 school with 995 students and 53 teachers.

Qualifications

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and an ability to work in a team environment;

  • Ability to work effectively within an environment which includes developing meaningful and productive relationships with students, parents, PLC's, professionals and community service agencies;
  • Demonstrated ability to connect with youth in a student-centered learning environment in addition to having an interest or willingness to connect with students outside of the classroom;
  • Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation
  • Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion
  • Successful teaching experience or training;
  • Certified as a Teacher in good standing in Saskatchewan or the ability to be certified.

Chinook, encompassing an area of 42 750 square kilometres, is the second largest school division in the province. Situated in beautiful Southwestern Saskatchewan, its geographical boundaries begin 80 kilometres east of Swift Current and include the United States border to the south, the Alberta border to the west and the Saskatchewan River to the north.
