Now Hiring: Senior Consultant – AML Internal Audit | Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

My client, a leading financial services organization, is looking to hire a Senior Consultant – AML Internal Audit to join their team in Toronto, ON . This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals with a strong internal audit background and AML compliance experience to contribute to high-impact regulatory and audit initiatives.

What You Will Do:

  • Execute testing steps as part of independent assessments under the Enterprise AML Program.
  • Identify key issues, perform detailed analysis, interpret results, and report findings related to AML/ATF compliance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and audit best practices.
  • Conduct walkthroughs, tests of design, and tests of operating effectiveness.
  • Support the engagement manager in preparing regulatory validation closure memos and during the reporting phase.

Your Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Internal Auditor in the financial or banking industry.
  • 1+ years of experience working in an AML setting.
  • Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFCS, CIA , or other relevant designations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint .
  • Excellent analytical, report writing , and interpersonal skills .
  • Strong communication skills in English ; French is considered an asset.
  • Solid understanding of Canadian AML and sanctions compliance regulations, including PCMLTFA/R, OSFI, and FINTRAC .
