About the role
Location: Saint-Laurent, QC
Job Title: Maintenance Technician Level 2
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6-week leave coverage (possibility of becoming permanent)
Language Requirement: Bilingual – French & English
License: Class C – Electronics Technician (must be current)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (flexibility for early, late, and weekend shifts as needed)
Training: Must be flexible for training during day, afternoon, or night shifts. Candidates available only in the evening or night must commit to a minimum of 4 hours of training per day.
Team: 5 technicians on site, with peer support
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all facility and production equipment (mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems).
- Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled to ensure equipment reliability and support manufacturing needs.
- Complete general facility maintenance, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems.
- Disassemble, clean, calibrate, and align equipment as necessary.
- Accurately enter and analyze maintenance data; track activities in maintenance management systems.
- Support and follow all safety requirements and company policies.
- Collaborate with and support the maintenance team; assist in training as needed.
- Participate in process improvements and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in electronics maintenance.
- Current Class C Electronics Technician license.
- Bilingual in French and English.
- Strong communication skills: ability to work autonomously and as a self-starter, while also knowing when to ask for help.
- Electronics background is essential.
- Flexible for varied training and work schedules.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
