During this internship, you will help the team build and foster relationships across Canadian post-secondary institutions and workforce development partners and support the putting in place partnerships which enable the design and launch of work-integrated learning programs that align with the country’s economic, talent and workforce needs.

Your efforts will enable postsecondary and workforce development partners to provide more meaningful experiential learning opportunities that connect learners like you to real-world industry experience, building their professional portfolio irrespective of where they are at in their professional journey: students, mid-career professionals looking to upskill and reskill or newcomers.

This role is fully remote and is open to post-secondary students anywhere in Canada who meet all of the following requirements:

  • Registered as a domestic student in a recognized post-secondary institution

  • In a full or part-time program from any program of study

Key Responsibilities Help the team build and deepen a complex network of partnerships from across the Canadian postsecondary and workforce development ecosystem:

  • Play a key role in mapping the Canadian postsecondary and workforce development landscape to identify trends and inform new partnership development;
  • Inform a deep dive and analysis of federal and provincial government frameworks as they relate to upskilling, reskilling, work-integrated learning and career readiness initiatives;
  • Play an instrumental role on the team in the strategic development, building and maintenance of an accurate pipeline of potential partners and funding providers;
  • Contribute to revenue targets by prospecting new leads through ecosystem research, landscaping and supporting cold and warm outreach;
  • Support the overall development and enhancement of government relations engagement at federal and provincial levels;
  • Join calls with prospective partners and clients to capture key insights and assist with follow-up communication and nurturing;
  • Build a deep understanding of the Riipen platform and help answer partner questions about the platform and articulate how Riipen can enable their programs;
  • Undertake research and draft content to support compelling grant proposals and funding applications to support partnership growth and revenue objectives;
  • Manage pipeline and track outreach and ongoing engagement activities and metrics in our CRM (HubSpot).

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (Business, Communications, Education, Public Policy, Political Science or related field);
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities;
  • Interest in education, workforce development, or nonprofit/social impact sectors;
  • Curious and engaged in the building and enhancement of partnerships crossing the postsecondary, industry and government space;
  • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset;
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is a plus, but not required.
