Hours: Monday to Friday, Various start times (Early as 3:00 am or 3:30 am)

Summary:
The ICI Roll-Off Driver is responsible for operating a Roll-off truck as well as multiple waste and recycling collection trucks, when needed. The successful applicant’s background in Roll-Off vehicle operation, as well providing excellent customer service experience will allow them to excel towards delivering exceptional service for our Durham Contract.
Responsibilities:
- In the position of ICI Roll-Off Driver, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Fill in when required to cover driver absences, vacations and when increased volumes of work require addition equipment out to ensure excellent customer service.
- Ensure pick-up and delivery schedules are met as provided.
- Roll-Off experience preferred; training will be provided.
- Coverage on Residential Collections during winter season will be required.
- Demonstrate excellent customer services.
- Meet or exceed performance expectations through proven results.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Successful candidates must have a DZ Driver’s Licence, complemented by a clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR.
- Must be able to demonstrate experience with manual transmissions (8, 13, or 18 speed).
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective written and verbal communication is mandatory.
- Must have an excellent attendance and performance record.
- Must be flexible and able to work extended hours, including occasional Saturdays.
- Statutory holiday coverage may be necessary.
- Knowledge of Durham Region would be an asset.
- Coverage on Residential Collections will be required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with previous Roll-Off experience
- Other duties as required.
