IPG Photonics (Canada) is looking for a Production Assembler to join our team. Our products provide quality assurance for high-power industrial laser processing applications in advanced manufacturing environments.
This position will involve a variety of electronic, optical, and mechanical assembly tasks, as well as some logistics and equipment maintenance responsibilities. The position is ideally suited to a person with a strong interest, and academic or personal project experience, in electronics and/or optics.
Responsibilities:
Assemble mixed electrical, optical, and mechanical systems according to drawings and assembly manuals.
Make cables and wiring harnesses, using both crimped and soldered connectors, to industrial-quality standards.
Prepare completed equipment and spare parts for shipment, verifying shipment contents against order documentation.
Perform basic maintenance tasks.
Keep production and logistics spaces clean and well-organized.
Arm-hand steadiness with good hand-eye coordination.
Detail-oriented worker able to perform precision tasks independently.
Good oral and written English communication skills.
A bility to learn quickly.
Basic ability to interpret electrical and mechanical technical drawings.
Ability to lift 20 kg / 45 lb packages.
Ability to conduct conversations professionally.
