Located on Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour, the Hotel Grand Pacific has a position available for a Night Cleaner. As a member of the Housekeeping team, you will play an important role in helping our 4-star hotel maintain a safe and clean environment for our guests. This is a full-time position that requires overnight availability in shift between the 11pm to 7am.

Description of Duties:

• Ensure that established cleanliness standards are maintained in all areas of the Hotel
• Clean floors, carpets and windows
• Respond to requests for housekeeping item deliveries
• Communicate guest concerns to ensure the highest level of service is provided
• Report any maintenance concerns to ensure safety standards are met

Qualifications & Abilities:

• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred
• Experience using heavy cleaning machinery an asset
• Adaptable to changing demands
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical position
• Excellent attention to detail
• WHMIS certification desired
• Clear and effective communication skills
• An efficient self-starter
• Able to handle and move objects weighing up to 30 lbs over short distances
• Able to occasionally push carts weighing up to 200 lbs over moderate distances
• Available to work over 30 hours per week
• Experience working overnight shifts preferred
