Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual for our Human Resources Coordinator role that will support and streamline our HR operations. This role will manage a wide range of HR functions including payroll, benefits, recruitment coordination, employee relations, and compliance. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-tech environment and is eager to contribute to a growing team.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Process payroll accurately and in compliance with regulations
- Maintain payroll records and employee compensation data
- Respond to payroll and benefit inquiries
- Administer benefit programs (health, retirement, etc.) and coordinate enrollments and changes
- Liaise with benefit providers to ensure program accuracy and compliance
Employee Relations & HR Support
- Act as a first point of contact for HR-related inquiries and concerns
- Support performance management and disciplinary processes
- Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture
- Conduct exit interviews and support retention trends
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment activities including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communications
- Prepare employment contracts and onboarding documentation
- Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding experience
- Maintain up-to-date job descriptions and assist with workforce planning
HR Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records (contracts, leave, performance documents)
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies
- Assist with policy development and HR procedure updates
- Generate HR reports and support internal audits
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times
Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resources
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resource role
- Experience with Canadian payroll systems and legislation
- Knowledge of HRIS/Payroll system; such as Payworks, Dayforce, or similar platforms
- Solid understanding of employment law, HR practices, and benefit regulations
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion
- Experience or interest in the aviation industry is an advantage
