About the role
The successful candidate for this position will be performing inspections related to pellet, tube / element and bundle inspection within the Port Hope QV department. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- MIL STD inspections.
- OD Visual inspection – must pass eye examination requirements.
- Inspection activities as detailed per applicable documents which involve precision inspection equipment.
- Detailed accurate and legible records of all inspection activities.
- Initiating and completing DA activities as noted per the approved dispositions.
- Position may require heavy lifting at times.
- There will be a need to be qualified at other inspection processes to support business needs.
You will ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently and in compliance with the approved procedures and that proper and complete documentation is maintained.
Requirements of the position:
- Secondary school graduation diploma or equivalent.
Asset
- Previous inspection experience will be considered a benefit. If the successful candidate does not have previous inspection experience, they will be required to complete a Quality Assurance course within six months to one year.
This position requires basic demonstrated ability, including successful qualification within a defined timeframe, (2 — 6 weeks) depending on the inspection activity.
