Role Description:
This role is ideal for an individual with experience in full-cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including coding, and data entry. The Accounting clerk plays a key role in supporting the finance team, by ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness in day-to-day functions. This position is well suited for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Proven ability to accurately handle high volume of transactions, meet deadlines and prioritize workload in a fast paced environment
- Primary responsibility for AR follow-up emails and calls.
- Track ancillary service notes in our workflow database.
- Invoicing and responding to customer or assessor inquiries.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with a variety of people and answer queries in a professional manner
- Flexible team player with the ability to function independently while working in a team environment
- Must be reliable, with a strong work ethic and professional attitude
- Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance**,** or a related field (e.g., Business Administration)
- Experience with ACCPAC, Doclink, Smart Simple is considered an asset
- Median skill level in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint)
- Basic knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Proven ability to understand organizational priorities and consistently meet deadlines
- Self-directed with ability to work independently and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision
- Ability to multi task in a very busy environment and adapt to change and ambiguity
- Approachable, Friendly, Solution Oriented
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
