About the Role
We’re looking for a Group Sales & Operations Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be the bridge between our clients’ travel dreams and the seamless execution of their journeys. You’ll work independently and collaboratively to manage bookings, support operations, and ensure an exceptional customer experience from inquiry to post-trip follow-up.
As a Group Travel Consultant, you will also be responsible for selling, planning, budgeting, booking, and managing all steps required to successfully operate Group Travel packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with potential clients to understand their travel needs and recommend suitable tour options.
- Prepare quotes, process bookings, payments and manage client communications.
- Create and price customized travel packages.
- Sell, plan, and oversee all aspects of group travel operations, including budgeting and logistics.
- Manage tour inventory across multiple platforms.
- Generate and edit invoices using our online systems.
- Update website content with new tours, pricing, and inclusions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth tour delivery.
- Support general office administration tasks as needed.
About You
- You have hands-on experience in running and operating tours.
- You have a strong understanding of Canadian travel destinations.
- You have previous experience in the travel industry, ideally in a tour operator DMC, or travel agency.
- You are a travel enthusiast with boundless energy and a strong work ethic.
- You thrive in fast-paced environments, handling multiple tasks under pressure.
- You are enthusiastic, friendly, and eager to learn and grow.
- You have strong organizational skills and great attention to detail.
- You can collaborate effectively with management, colleagues, and suppliers.
- You are fluent in English (spoken and written).
- You are proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other travel industry systems.
Requirements
- Experience in travel sales and operating tours (essential).
- Knowledge of Canada as a travel destination.
- Legal work status in Canada (Valid Work Permit, Permanent Resident or Citizen).
- Calgary-based person (Office-based with hybrid option after 3 months).
- Post-secondary education or 2+ years of experience in travel sales, tour operations, or a related travel company.
- Familiarity with database-driven booking, tracking, and itinerary creation systems (an asset).
