Our team is growing and we are looking to add a multifaceted and highly motivated Legal Operations Specialist to join our Enterprise Legal team! Vice-President, Enterprise Legal managing the Legal Operations function at OMERS strongly believes in developing talent and is looking for a candidate that has a strong drive to learn and desire to help their colleagues succeed with their initiatives. The Legal Operations Specialist will be a key contributor and will interact with partners throughout the organization. This role will support a number of key enterprise initiatives, including system implementation/support and knowledge/document management. We believe that time together in the office is important for OMERS and Oxford, the strength of our employees, and the work we do for our pension members. Our hybrid work guideline requires teams to come to the office a minimum of 4 days per week.

The team will decide based on experience the consideration of Senior Specialist.

Responsibilities:
Assist Vice-President, Enterprise Legal (Legal Operations) with various initiatives

Assist with/Lead the implementation and maintenance of software solutions implemented by the Enterprise Legal team (e.g., document management system). These activities include acting as the primary point of contact for user acceptance testing and management of updates to such software solutions.

Manage data room preparation and maintenance.

Develop and maintain automated workflows and PowerBI dashboards

Partner with team members in knowledge management efficiency projects including analyzing and moving data and records to SharePoint, iManage or other areas as necessary

Assist in the production of documentation and process maps for internal procedures and seek opportunities for process excellence

Act as administrator of the Enterprise Legal document management system and Legal Tracker enterprise e-Billing system

Support the annual records retention process for the Legal group

Litigation support

To succeed in this role, you bring the following:
Self-starter who works both independently and with a team, while fostering a collegial and creative team culture

Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

Ability to work with and coordinate with multiple stakeholders

Ability to draw insights, analyze metrics, and convey ideas clearly and concisely

Desired Experience:
Minimum 5-10-years’ experience

Data room setup and administration (e.g., Intralinks)

Coordinating e-discovery and litigation activities (project management)

Implementation of software solutions

Technical support of software solutions

Legal Tracker (Serengeti)

iManage Document Management System

Microsoft Forms, Power Automate and PowerBI
