Join Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario) and play a pivotal role in enhancing cancer screening programs across Ontario. As a Lead, you will oversee the development, dissemination, and implementation of provincial projects and initiatives. You will act as a subject matter expert, taking on complex tasks and collaborating with key internal partners.
Here Is What You Will Be Doing
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and the public. Engage external stakeholders to support project implementation and share best practices.
- Project/Program/Operations Execution and Delivery: Lead the planning and execution of projects, ensuring high-quality results and timely completion. Develop quality standards and tools suitable for various audiences, including clinicians, service providers, and patients. Develop and implement dissemination and engagement plans for stakeholders.
- Coordination/Collaboration: Work closely with cancer screening teams to support quality improvement initiatives. Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses to identify and address health system barriers. Lead the selection of experts to assist with project development and implementation
- Leadership and Integrity: Demonstrate leadership in interactions with internal and external stakeholders. Lead key informational and decision-making meetings focused on program quality, strategy, and policy.
Education And Experience Here is what you will need to be successful:
- A master’s degree in health policy, health sciences, health administration, or a related field of study
- Minimum of two years using research methods, appraising evidence, knowledge of the Canadian health care system
- Four or more years of overall work experience in a similar capacity required
Knowledge And Skills
- A strong understanding of Ontario’s health care system, including gaps between actual and ideal care, reasons for these gaps, and potential mechanisms available to address them
- Comfort with interpreting and communicating health care data and performance indicators
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with demonstrated experience engaging and building relationships and consensus among diverse stakeholders
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
- An analytical thinker who enjoys generating and exploring innovative ideas and problem solving
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy
- Demonstrated initiative and independence to take appropriate action and anticipate organizational needs
- Ability to deal effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and the public from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
- Capacity to work effectively in a rapid-pace work environment
- Ability to complete tasks, as assigned, in a timely manner with high-quality results
Location: Toronto, Ontario (currently hybrid; subject to change)
