Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Full-Time Temporary Materials & Logistics (Shipper/Receiver/Materials Handler) to work at our Edmonton Service Centre location (5515 42 Street NW). This position will start as a 1-year temporary contract with the possibility of extension or becoming a permanent position. The successful candidate will report to the Warehouse Operations Manager.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle customer communications regarding shipping/receiving
- Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers
- Handle incoming, outgoing and internal deliveries
- Package outgoing shipments
- Handle inventory/stock, conduct stock counts, as required
- Computerized data input on various operating systems
- Picking orders
- Internal and external Customer communication
- Inventory floor maintenance
- Stock replenishment
- Customer counter interaction
- Maintain a safe work environment and actively participate in Spartans safety culture
- Maintain on-time delivery
- Maintain a clean work area
- Provide quality packaging and accurate receipts
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma
- Previous shipping/receiving and/or warehouse experience is considered an asset
- Basic computer skills
- Previous experience with SAP is considered an asset
- Forklift operation (certification is considered an asset, but training will be provided)
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Superior customer service
- Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail, and awareness of surroundings, in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment
- Superior work ethic
- Strong organization, time management and multi-tasking skills
- Must be physically capable of lifting to 50 lbs.
- This position has been deemed as Safety Sensitive – successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment Alcohol and Drug test
