The Opportunity South Bow is seeking students interested in gaining hands-on experience in Tax, Accounting, and Internal Audit. This position is ideal for students enrolled in a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Business Administration, or a related academic program. The anticipated start date for this placement is September 2025.

As an integral part of the Controller’s team, you’ll contribute to key financial operations and gain practical insights into our business. This immersive experience will allow you to expand your professional network while collaborating with experienced colleagues. Each day presents an opportunity to deepen your knowledge, sharpen your skills, and grow your enthusiasm for your chosen field.

  • Posting Close Date: July 25, 2025
  • This is a 4-month opportunity with potential for extension.
  • Roles are based in Calgary.

What You Will Do

  • Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns and other compliance documents
  • Support the accounting team with month-end and quarter-end closing processes
  • Assist with internal audit activities to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management review
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to gather feedback and communicate progress updates effectively

Minimum Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled in a degree program in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, or a closely related discipline, with a minimum of one completed semester
  • Enrolled at an accredited post-secondary institution
  • International students must hold a valid study permit and provide a post-secondary work placement authorization letter
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety across both professional responsibilities and personal conduct
  • Upholds and integrates South Bow's core values throughout daily work practices and organizational initiatives
