Work Arrangements: Due to the nature of the work and operational requirements, this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (combination of working onsite and telework). The Role We are looking for a senior-career Investment Advisor (IA) to support the NRC Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) Clean Technology. The IA would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

Reporting to the Manager, Investments, this position is responsible for managing the full funding lifecycle for companies supported by NRC IRAP Clean Technology, including the application stage, due diligence, contracting, project execution and post-project commercialization. This position includes the screening and evaluation of new funding applications as well as the management of a portfolio of funded projects and advisory services.

Education Post-secondary degree in Science or Engineering in a discipline related to the position from a recognized university.

Experience
- Significant* private sector experience in developing, implementing, evaluating and/or commercializing technology solutions in areas that could address sustainable development issues.
- Extensive** experience in one or more of the following sectors: technology and innovation, natural resources, manufacturing, agriculture and agri-food, transportation and logistics, energy, construction.
- Preference may be given to candidates with experience in the following sectors/sub-sectors: building and infrastructure development, energy, mining, water and waste water.
Assets
- Recent*** investment experience for early-stage funding of technology companies.
- Industrial business experience as an entrepreneur or senior manager in an SME.
- Experience in project management, financial management, business development, and/or intellectual property management.
- Significant experience is defined as four (4) to six (6) years of experience.
- Extensive experience is defined as a minimum of seven (7) years of experience.
- Recent experience is defined as experience gained within the last five (5) years.

- Reliability Status

Compensation The intent of this hiring action is to staff this position at the RCO-4 level, which is a senior-career level position with a salary range of $140,321 to $164,894.
NOTE: Please note that the full RO/RCO salary scale has five levels. Salary determination will be based on a review of the candidate’s expertise, outcomes and impacts of their previous work experience relative to the requirements of the level. As such, the initial salary could be within another level of the RCO salary scale (i.e., above or below the intended level for this position).
In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
